Peres Okinyi has worked with the Ekialo Kiona Centre since its inception in 2007 as an active Kanyakala leader and volunteer. Now she serves as the Health Navigator Coordinator where she manages 10 Health Navigators to respond in the time of medical emergency. She is available day and night to support the health of her community during crisis.
Peres was born in Sindo, Suba County and now lives in Kitawi Village with four children. She attended Sindo Primay School and then Kisumu Girls Secondary School and following was trained as a Community Health Worker by the Kenyan Ministry of Health.
