
Jason Nagata
Research Coordinator
Jason first traveled to Mfangano Island to write his master's dissertation "Hunger and HIV: Benefits of the Medicalization of Nutrition among Patients on Antiretroviral Therapy" in March and April 2009. He returned the summer of 2010 to help lead an interdisciplinary global health frameworks team from UCSF and UC Berkeley.
He studied Health and Societies and the Biological Basis of Behavior at the University of Pennsylvania as an undergrad, Medical Anthropology at the University of Oxford as a post-graduate, and is currently a medical student at the University of California, San Francisco.
Jason helps to coordinate nutrition research for OHR.
