December 20th:

International Human Solidarity DAY

International Human Solidarity Day reminds us of the importance of solidarity in working towards eradicating poverty & disease all over the world. Strong social support significantly increases a sick individual's chance of survival. Help us Get to Zero AIDS-related deaths. Help us Get to $5,000.

GET THE FACTS:

  • Risk of HIV affects everyone. When one person is sick, households experience:
    •  Reduced productivity
    • Economic hardship
    • Food insecurity
    • Burden of orphaned children
    • High medical fees
  • Most Lake Victoria residents feel they have little to no support when it comes to school & medical fees, or making sure there is enough food on the table.
